Higher Technician in Clinical and Biomedical Laboratory

General competence of the course
Perform analytical studies of human biological samples, interpreting and assessing the technical results so that they may be used to support clinical diagnostics and/or for research purposes, acting in accordance to quality, safety and environmental rules, organizing and managing the respective areas in the clinical diagnostic laboratory, under appropriate supervision.
 
Competence units
1. Organising and managing, at the appropriate level, the relevant work area within the unit/office.
2. Taking, recording, classifying and distributing human biological samples.
3. Perform biochemistry studies, processing and analysing human biological samples.
4. Perform microbiological studies, processing and analysing human biological samples.
5. Perform haematological and genetic studies, processing and analysing human bone marrow and blood samples, and obtain blood products.
