Higher Technician in Diagnostic Imaging and Nuclear Medicine

General competence of the course
Obtain graphic morphological and functional recordings of the human body for diagnostic purposes, preparing, operating and controlling the equipment, interpreting and validating the technical results, in conditions of quality and environmental safety, under appropriate supervision.
 
Competence units
 
1. Organising and managing, at the appropriate level, the relevant work area within the unit/office.
2. Obtaining graphical recordings of the human body by means of radiographic equipment.
3. Obtaining graphical recordings of the human body using computerized imaging equipment for
resonance imaging and computerized axial tomography scan.
4. Obtaining graphical recordings of the human body by means of radio-isotope techniques using nuclear-medicine equipment.
5. Apply and check the radiation protection measures in units where ionising radiation is used for medical-diagnostic purposes, under appropriate supervision.
